Clinical Supervision

As an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) Candidate with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), I am passionate about supporting counsellors and helping professionals in their ongoing professional growth and development. Clinical supervision offers a dedicated space to reflect on your work, strengthen clinical skills, navigate ethical considerations, and deepen self-awareness as a practitioner. Whether you are early in your career or an experienced clinician seeking additional support, supervision can play a valuable role in maintaining confidence, competence, and effectiveness in your practice.

My approach to supervision is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I enjoy helping clinicians explore challenging cases, work through areas of uncertainty, identify blind spots, and build on their existing strengths. Drawing from my experience in private practice, crisis response, community mental health, youth work, and organizational wellness, I strive to create a reflective environment where counsellors can think critically, expand their clinical toolbox, and continue developing their professional identity.

I believe that sustainable and effective clinical work requires ongoing support. Supervision is not simply about meeting professional requirements—it is an investment in your long-term capacity, well-being, and growth as a helping professional. I am honoured to support clinicians who are committed to providing ethical, culturally responsive, and impactful care to the individuals, families, and communities they serve.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting (50 mins) is a non-invasive and effective therapeutic technique that aims to access and process deep-rooted emotional experiences including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, performance enhancement, trauma and much more. During these sessions Bernard guides client eye movements to locate specific “brainspots” associated with the source of their distress. Once identified, these spots are fine tuned to facilitate the processing and release of unresolved trauma stored in the brain.
